About the Event

Doing a script breakdown is an  essential part of pre-production when making a film. It allows you to  list out every single element that is needed to make your film and  really assess what you will keep and what you may need to cut or change  in order to keep your film within budget and on schedule.

Various departments in film production do script  breakdowns are part of their pre-production process. For the purposes of  this class, Landi is going to show you how to do a script breakdown as a  director and/or 1st AD to ensure you can clearly relay your vision to  the other film departments when making your movie.

Landi is an award-winning writer, director, and  producer. She launched her production company Bluechild Entertainment in  2012 and has since directed and produced several films and corporate  industrial projects. Her documentary The Silent Killer: Prostate Cancer  In The African American Community is currently streaming on Tubi TV and  Amazon Prime. She is a  member of the Zero Health Equity Task Force, where she works with  various doctors, scientists, and community leaders to promote advocacy  and affordable care for veterans and minority men dealing with prostate  cancer.

Landi recently worked on the faith-based film Driving  Force and the female boxing franchise Lola 2 available on AMC/AllBlk  network. Landi is currently in post-production for an unscripted network  show where she directed 6 out of 10 episodes.
